Terms of Service
Last updated: July 27, 2026
These terms cover your use of grvlup.com and the GrvlUp community (including our Ride with GPS club, Strava club, and Instagram). By joining our email list, submitting a route, or using GrvlUp's linked clubs, you agree to these terms.
The Service
GrvlUp is a community platform that curates gravel cycling routes by region. Route access, offline downloads, and turn-by-turn navigation are provided through our club on Ride with GPS, a third-party platform with its own terms of service. GrvlUp does not own or operate Ride with GPS, Strava, or Instagram — we curate content and community there.
No warranty on route information
Routes, surface notes, tire recommendations, resupply points, and difficulty ratings are provided by riders and reviewed by GrvlUp on a best-effort basis. Conditions change: roads wash out, water sources dry up, and difficulty is subjective. You are responsible for your own route-finding decisions, safety equipment, and judgment on every ride. GrvlUp is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from use of any route or information on this site.
Route Submissions
If you submit a route through our submission form, you confirm that:
- You personally rode or scouted the route within the last two years.
- The information you provide (surface, tires, hazards, resupply) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to share the linked route (e.g., it's your own Ride with GPS or Strava route, or you have permission to share it).
By submitting a route, you grant GrvlUp a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to review, edit for clarity, and publish the submitted information (route link, region, and ride intel) as part of a GrvlUp regional collection. You may request removal at any time by contacting us. Crediting you by name as the submitter is optional and only happens with your explicit consent on the form.
GrvlUp reviews all submissions before publishing and may decline to publish any submission for any reason, including safety, legal, or quality concerns.
Community Code of Conduct
GrvlUp exists because riders share good rides in good company. Everyone using our site, forms, club, or linked community spaces agrees to:
- Be honest. Submit accurate route information. Don't misrepresent surface conditions, difficulty, or your own riding history.
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse of other riders, in submissions, comments, or on any linked platform.
- Ride within your means and the law. Respect private property, trail closures, and land access rules. GrvlUp does not endorse trespassing or riding closed routes.
- Keep it about the dirt. No spam, unrelated promotion, or commercial solicitation in submissions or community spaces without our permission.
Violating these guidelines may result in removal of your submission, removal from the club, or a block from GrvlUp's community spaces, at our discretion.
Third-Party Services
GrvlUp relies on third-party providers to operate: Kit for email delivery, Netlify for website hosting and route submission processing, and Ride with GPS, Strava, and Instagram for club and community features. We aren't responsible for the availability, content, or policies of these third-party services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Changes
We may update these terms as GrvlUp grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
